Liver Cake Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 pound of beef liver
1 egg
1/2 cup of parsley
1/2 cup of blueberries
Liver cake for dogs usually has some kind of flour in the recipe. I intentionally took a minimalist approach by omitting traditional ingredients like flour. Why, you might wonder? Two simple reasons: simplicity and a conscious effort to keep carbs to a minimum.
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a food processor, blend the liver and egg until it becomes a smooth paste.
Mix in parsley and blueberries to the mixture
Grease the loaf pan or use parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Pour the mixture into the tin and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes
Allow the liver cake to cool before slicing it into smaller, bite-sized pieces. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Tips on cutting this flourless liver cake: Since this recipe doesn’t contain any flour, it might be a little more crumbly. You can freeze it a little first before slicing.
