Healthy Dog Cake Recipe
Inspired by the vibrant hues of the classic Italian dessert, the Rainbow Cake, I've created a special no-bake healthy dog cake recipe for dogs. This flourless treat is quick to make and packs a punch of antioxidants, vitamins, and proteins. It's a wholesome snack that our dogs can savor without adding unwanted holiday weight.

How to Make Healthy Dog Cake
The Rainbow Cake for Dogs features five layers:
Top and Bottom Layers: Mushroom and Gelatin
1/2 cup mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon ghee (the one I use is from Simple Truth Organic)
1 teaspoon Hearthy Grass-Fed Unflavored Gelatin
1/2 teaspoon Native Pet Chicken Bone Broth Powder
1/4 cup water
Middle Layers: Bell Pepper Colors
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
6 oz Meyenburg goat milk
3 tablespoon Hearthy Grass-Fed Unflavored Gelatin
Instructions:
For the Top and Bottom Layers:
Cook mushrooms with ghee.
Add 1 tablespoon hot water to 1 teaspoon gelatin until completely melted.
Using a Nutribullet or food processor, puree the cooked mushrooms with Native Pet Chicken bone broth powder, water, and gelatin mixture.
For the Middle Layers:
Lightly steam the red, green, and yellow peppers.
Add 1 to 2 table spoon hot water to gelatin until completely melted.
Using a Nutribullet or food processor, puree each bell pepper separately with 2oz of goat milk and gelatin mixture until a vibrant and smooth texture is achieved.
Layering: Now comes the fun part β layering! Begin with one color at a time, creating a visually appealing rainbow effect.
The mushroom one is for the too and bottom layer. Make it really thin. Itβs to mimic to chocolate layer of the Italian Rainbow cake.
Once the colors are layered, let the cake set in the refrigerator for a few hours or until firm.
Serve this colorful dog cake to your pup and watch them enjoy the flavors and nutrients.
