Mini Cheese Dog Treats
If your dog loves cheese, you must give these simple cheese dog treats a try. With just three ingredients, they'll be ready in under half an hour – 10 minutes for preparation and 20 minutes for baking.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup goat cheese* (feel free to use all cheddar cheese; I happened to have extra goat cheese in my fridge that I wanted to use before it expires)
1/4 cup cheddar cheese
2 eggs
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a food processor, blend oats and cheese until you achieve a crumb-like consistency.
Mix the eggs into the oat/cheese crumb until it forms a dough (expect it to be sticky).
Roll out the dough using a rolling pin. Place parchment paper on top of the dough during rolling to prevent sticking. Roll the dough out to your desired thickness. I kept mine pretty thin.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Cut the baked dough into mini squares.
Store these mini cheddar cheese dog treats in the refrigerator to maintain their freshness.
Note: Please note that the cheese dog treat is intended for occasional treats only. It's crucial to feed them in moderation based on your dog's size. High-fat foods can potentially lead to pancreatitis in dogs, so it's important to be mindful of their overall diet and control the treat intake accordingly.
I hope your pup will love these mini cheese treats as much as Rambo! Happy Baking!
